Highland Lutheran International School students come from all over Papua New Guinea, but most of them come from the Enga Province between Wabag and Wapenamanda. The grade 12 students in the picture above will take their exams this year and graduate. Other students range in age down to prekinder students. In the picture below, the grade 1 and 2 students show off in front of their new classroom which is under construction this year.
The faculty at HLIS comes from several different countries, including England, Australia, the United States, Holland and Papua New Guinea. They represent a cross section of nationalities and teaching talent.
